DIY Wedding Invitations for
Low Budget Weddings

DIY wedding invitations are a classy and stylish way to invite your guests when you're creating low budget weddings. But you really need to start early if you're going to do them, especially if you have a relatively large guest list.

I bought a printable invitation kit that included the templates for the inner envelope and response card envelope. But I wanted something more formal that included the outer envelope. And I wanted lined envelopes for a more traditional and elegant look.

But to buy pre-lined inner envelopes would have cost me double what it cost me to buy the paper and do it myself. And since I had tissue paper left over from making my tissue paper flowers, I was able to insert the tissue paper for an even more formal look.

My cousin decided on a print-your-own wedding invitations kit, some assembly required, and they were beautiful.

There are a ton of websites with gorgeous and affordable invitation kits, templates and ideas including templates to make your own custom envelopes with liners.

And if you make your own, you'll always have the design on hand to make all of your other printed wedding stationery. It's just amazing what's out there!
