We Want Renew Our Vows

Me and My Husband

I would like to renew our vows. Me and my husband have been married for 8 yrs and when we got married 8 yrs ago I was pregnant with our first son and he was in the air force and since we were only engaged they were going to deploy him and he was going to miss the birth of our son. So we had to have a quick ceremony but I still dream of having a wedding with all my family and friends, bridesmaids, maid of honor , best man etc. I don't really have any idea how to plan it out though. I don't wanna spend a lot of money on it either.

I was thinking maybe for our 10yr anniversary we can do it. Jan 7th is our anniversary date. Any ideas, tips, advice would help so much. As for vows we did not write any the first time because it was a quick wedding. But I want to this time around.

Congratulations on your wonderful marriage. A vow renewal ceremony would be a beautiful way to celebrate 10 years. If you want to save costs, you will need to think about what resources you have available to you. Anytime you are cutting costs, your time will become more important. For the location, is there a pretty lake or backyard you can use instead of spending the money to rent a hall? What natural beauties are around you that you could use to make the event both special and cost efficient? With it being in January, perhaps there is a location that is large enough to accommodate everyone and still keep them toasty warm.

I would find some key people to help with the planning. You have plenty of time to plan and organize the event. Christmas lights can add a great deal of ambiance to an evening vow renewal. Set a budget and decide what key elements you would like to include on your special day. Spend the money you need to on those and then find creative ways to cover any other necessary items.

Also, check out packages available to you in your area. Packages usually include most of what you will need for the ceremony and sometimes they can be less expensive and less stressful than trying to do everything on your own.
