Affordable Table Centerpieces and Ideas to Make Them Yourself
Table centerpieces are the main part of your reception décor. You can make centerpieces from fresh or silk flowers, candles or almost anything you like. But how do you make them affordable?
I took small bud vases, bought in quantity, and made a little bouquet of ivory and mauve silk roses, baby's breath and greens. My husband wrapped them together with floral tape and pushed the stems of the bouquets into a piece of tulle, making a cute little collar around the top. For the finishing touch, I tied an ivory ribbon around the vase. These will make very pretty and really low cost centerpieces for our reception.

I also made tissue paper flowers in vases to add to the tables for a fun creative look. These were very easy to make and my 10-year old stepdaughter even helped.
Candles also make beautiful and decorative centerpieces and there are a lot of things you can do with candles to spice up your tables.
For instance, if I was using this particular piece for my tables, I could make a candle ring out of flowers that match my color theme or simply tie some satin or tulle ribbon around the bottom to dress it up a little. Or, you could use colored water and a colored candle that match your color theme. Lots of ideas when it comes to candles.
