Renewing Vows for 20th Anniversary

My husband and I will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary on June 28, 2012. We have decided to renew our vows on May 6, 2012 due to him being in school full time for the next 6 years for ultimately becoming a Nurse Anesthetist.

We had a beautiful church wedding in a small church in Florida that was eventually torn down for a highway to be built.

We now live in West Virginia and as my husband went to high school here it really has been like a second home anyway. We have a church here about the same size and look as the one we were originally married in.

I have several reasons for wanting to renew our vows. 1) We are both at least 60 lbs overweight and I thought it would be a good goal for losing weight. He agreed! 2) We've had a rocky marriage due to differences in family backgrounds, but we've made that commitment to stick it out and we have and will continue. 3) We really didn't have much in the way of a honeymoon and I would like to redo that part. (Went to Bush Gardens in Tampa 1st time, 2nd time will be a mountain resort and some hiking, train ride and caving!) 4) It's excellent for our children 16 yrs and 11 yrs to see Mommy and Daddy rededicating our hearts to one another and being very involved in the planning!
