No Limousine but.... a Rickshaw

Us in the Rickshaw

On your wedding day, you want everything to be perfect. And you want nothing but the best, right?

For most people, this includes picking up your bride in a luxurious car, a limousine, old timer, or other classic car. But there are alternatives.

When we were investigating these details for our wedding, we decided to do something different. And we looked for alternatives in our travels.

You see, prior to our married life we spent almost 10 years together. And one and a half year of these 10 years we traveled the world. And we saw all kinds of transport during these years.

So, should we take a
- Tuk-tuk as in Thailand
- Gondola as in Venice
- Horse and carriage as in Romania
- Overland truck as in Africa?

But no, we decided to go for an Indonesian Rickshaw.

We spent over 3 months in the Archipelago of Indonesia. A great country, with many different cultures on the different islands. And almost everywhere, we were transported by friendly cyclists in their beautiful rickshaws. By choosing a rickshaw for our wedding, we wanted to symbolize our love for traveling and for this great country.

On the picture, you can see us in the rickshaw. You can see it's cold (februari in Holland...), but we loved it. And you can see our brother-in-law, who is half Indonesian and was more than happy to ride the rickshaw.
