How to Save on Fresh Wedding Flowers
Many couples prefer fresh wedding flowers for their special day and there are a few ways to save money on real flower arrangements even when you're working with a small budget.
Planning early and using some creativity can save you time, money and hassles in having exactly what you want in fresh wedding flowers. In addition to checking out local florists and flower shops, here are a few other ideas to get you started: - Go to local flower shows or bridal fairs. Talk to a few vendors at the shows and see how willing they are to work within your budget.
- Shop online. There online florists that can work within your budget and deliver the flowers direct to your door or possibly to the location of the ceremony.
The disadvantage is you won't be able to see them first so you'll want to check their client testimonials and see how they rated with other couples who used them for their weddings.
- Start your own fresh flower garden. If you plan your wedding far enough in advance, you should be able to plant and grow some beautiful flowers for your bouquet, the flowers for your bridal party and your centerpieces, as well as some fresh petals if you're having a flower girl.
- Ask family members and close friends to start a garden. Or if they already have gardens with the flowers you want, ask if they'd consider donating some of them.
- Use baby's breath and greens as fillers. You'll have a beautiful bouquet and other arrangements while using less of the fresh flowers which are usually more expensive.
