Ideas for Candle Favors
Candle favors are the easiest and least expensive, yet one of the most elegant favors, especially votive candles. And you can find a lot of different ideas for using candles for favors.
For instance, I used vanilla scented ivory votive candles, I wrapped half of them in organza bags the other half in pink tulle tied at the top with ribbon. Each candle had a personalized label on it, which I did on the computer using clear address labels.
Choosing ink in one of your wedding colors and a elegant script will really make these favors stand out. Your message on the label can be something as simple as the bride and grooms name and the date of the marriage or a sweet thank you like "Thank you for making our special day just a little brighter."
Placing one wrapped votive candle favor at each plate setting will also add color to your tables, giving them a warm, elegant touch of class.
If you buy your candles and organza bags in bulk you can save a few bucks over buying them by the piece.
You can also keep your favors in a decorated basket and have the guests pick one up as they enter or leave.
Another idea is to put the candle into a glass votive holder that you personalize yourself. You can print out clear labels with designs or put 'Thank You' tags on them.
Tea Candles
Tea candles can also be used to make wonderful elegant candle favors. One idea for tea candle favors is to glue a tea candle in the center of a 2 inch mirror and add a card that says "Love Lights the Way" or any other saying you choose. The mirrors can often be purchased in bulk making them very inexpensive.
For those who lack the time to make their own tea candle favors, some of the online dollar stores carry tea candles and holders in bulk. You can purchase a case of 48 holders with the tea candles already in them in their own gift boxes for a $48.00. All you have to do is add a nice card to the already boxed favor and you are good to go.
Chime Candles
Chime candles are other candles that can be used to make wonderful wedding candle favors. You can place a set of three candles in organza bags and tie with elegant ribbon and add a card. You can also purchase wooden candle cups in bulk, stain or paint them and add a bit of baby's breath and a little greenery to the cups side by either hot gluing it on or tying it with a ribbon and placing a candle inside. You can then either place the candle and holder at each place setting or place in an organza bag tied with a ribbon.
If you prefer, instead of choosing white or ivory candles, you can choose candles in your theme colors to give as favors. Colored candles can add even more color to your table settings and look just as elegant as white candles.
The ideas for candle favors are endless. Simple and affordable yet elegant, you can't go wrong with these delightful favors your guests will love.
