About Me and My Fairy Tale Weddings Website

For the curious wondering who's behind this website, my name is Karen Roach.

Weddings became a natural direction for me as I starting having children; 7 daughters!

As my daughters got older, I starting asking myself, "How am I going to pay for all these weddings?"

With my first wedding, I had a 3 month notice and didn't have a clue what to do since I got married at the Justice of the Peace. I researched and compiled lots of saving strategies.

I made the Wedding invitations, Wedding cake, Wedding flowers, Wedding decorations, Wedding favors, Table centerpieces, tablecloths and catered the food myself. I learned a lot, including what not to do.

In fact, I developed so many vendor resources after the first wedding; that I became a Power seller on Ebay selling wedding decorations and cake decorating supplies.

My second wedding, I gave my daughter a choice; big wedding or cash! She chose the cash. But, I still made a big cake for a family celebration.

When the third wedding went into planning another daughter got engaged the next month.

It turned into a double wedding which was sure nice of them and a lot cheaper than two separate weddings close together.

My last wedding was dropped on me by my future son-in-law wanting me to throw a surprise wedding for my daughter in 7 days!

I thought this was going to be the hardest. But, it turned out really nice with lots of compliments. And, it was nice to only stress for 7 days instead of months!

I still have a few weddings to go, so this website will help me keep up with the latest wedding trends and ideas as I research and share with you.

I watched as she became more and more successful enabling her to be a stay at home mom. I am thankful for her help and encouragement on this website.
