My cousin was a beautiful bride this past April and in her brand new, never before worn gown from LightInTheBox.com. Absolutely gorgeous, complete mail order gown for less than $150! She said is was extremely well made and fit perfectly.
LightInTheBox is a great resource for really inexpensive yet well made, custom tailored gowns. And they don't charge extra for the tailoring!
She emailed her measurements and they did the custom alterations. It arrived in perfect order, fit perfectly and was extremely well crafted.
Buy Vintage and Customize
Going for that special, unique or rare style for your gown? Consider a custom designed gown starting with an already made gown!
Consider looking around some second hand shops and antique stores. You might find a really great vintage gown that just needs a little tweaking.
If the vintage search doesn't pan out, try looking on the discontinued rack at some bridal shops. Try on some dresses that may not be what youimagined. Then ask to see the seamstress on duty. A talented seamstress can take a gown from "sorta" to "perfect!"
eBay!
Shopping for wedding dresses on eBay is becoming very popular today. Many brides looking to save hundreds, even thousands of dollars have found their wedding gowns on eBay - including me!
