Hi folks!

Thank you for subscribing to our newsletter!

I'm guessing that by subscribing you're either engaged or in a bridal party or you're renewing your vows, or you're the friend of the bride or mother of the bride. And you're looking for tips and ideas to save money on a wedding.

Well you're in the right place! I'll try to pack each issue of the our newsletter with tips and resources that are only available to our newsletter subscribers.

And if you have money-saving or even time-saving tips and resources that you'd like to share, send them in and I'll get them in upcoming issues.

Or you can share your stories right online at our website! You can share stories about specific topics like:

  • How sticking to a plan helped you stay within your budget
  • Tell us about your wedding gown! Share your story and upload a photo about your dream wedding gown!
  • What you did for your wedding favors and how you made them special for your guests
  • Did you make your own wedding invitations, buy a print-your-own kit or use a professional printer?
  • Was your bouquet made with fresh flowers or silk?
...Just to name a few. Or you can share a general wedding story about whatever you'd like.

So let's get on with the topics in this issue!

What Wedding Hairstyle Should You Choose?
Romance is the key for all of today’s most modern wedding hairstyles. Your style should look fresh and easy, not overly styled or contrived. And you definitely do not want your hair to look stiff or heavily sprayed.

It should look as though you could remove a few pins and let it tumble over your shoulders in a sexy cascade (even if it is really held together by fifty pins and a whole can of hairspray!)

Your Bridal Makeup
Should you do your bridal makeup yourself or hire a pro?

Well ladies, I'm glad I found this article about bridal makeup because I'm probably the last person on earth to ask about makeup of any kind!

Oh, I go to the home parties for some of the biggest makeup companies around, but only because I love my sister-in-law and she loves having parties. But I usually just buy handcream or if I'm running low, I'll get a tube of mascara.

The makeovers are fun and everything smells so nice, but once that party's over, I'm back to being plain old me.

So I'll defer any bridal makeup advice to the author of this article, Chantelle Mayhew, owner of Infinity Hair & Beauty, to discuss the pros and cons of doing your own bridal makeup or hiring a pro.

Bridal Veils
There are several styles and lengths of bridal veils to choose from for your wedding ensemble so if you are wearing a veil, you need to select your gown and headpiece first.

This is vital because you want to make sure the veil coordinates with your gown.

And if you're wearing a headpiece, the type of headpiece you choose will determine the length of the veil.

Most bridal veils come attached to plain clear combs so you can attach the headpieces to them, or you can hide the comb under the headpiece and remove only the veil after the ceremony.

Some brides choose to wear only a veil without a headpiece and tuck the veil comb up under an elegant hairstyle.
